Thérèse Melanson of Dieppe passed away at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the age of 88. Born in Trois Pistoles, QC, on January 7th, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Charles Gagnon and the late Arthémise Dionne.
 For many years, she lived in Toronto with her husband, Aurèle, then moved to Dieppe 18 years ago. While in Toronto, she was past president of Golden Age Club. She liked to do Theater as a director. She was a very talented artist and seamstress.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 41 years, Aurèle Melanson; a brother, Abraham Gagnon of Asbestos, QC; also many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Yvonne, Marie, Louise, and Cécile; and three brothers Elzéar, Elie and Charles-Eugène of Quebec.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in Parish Cemetery.
